Eddleman's Never Fail Fish Hook and Animal
Trap Circa 1913  Patent No. 1072672

The patent was applied for by Welcome F.
Sweet on November 4, 1912.  The patent rights
to this deadly spearing device were already
assigned to G.W. Eddleman months prior to
the date the patent was granted in 1913.

Constructed of brass and steel with black
finish, this dangerous 7 1/2" spring driven
impaler is
extremely rare believed to be one
of only 5 known to exist.

George W. Eddleman of Mineral Wells Texas
died in February 1913 prior to the patent
actually being issued.  This may explain the
small number of these devices being found.

Also included with this hook / trap is
Eddleman's original business card with his
hand written
signature on it... and an original illustrated
patent pending flyer.  These are
believed to be
the only ones known to exist!
Here is a rare investment opportunity to own these outstanding pieces of
vintage angling history!
